ASI Heavy Lift has established itself in the marketplace as an innovative and reliable heavy lifting service provider. Our Engineering specialists develop appropriate and cost effective solutions to satisfy the need of each particular customers lifting requirement. All lifts have been completed to the highest high safety standards.
ASI Heavy Lift adopts a flexible approach to lifting operations which is tailored to suit the particular customer requirements
Advantages
The use of Strand Jacking technology has several advantages over traditional methods of construction. It allows heavy structures to be assembled at ground level and facilitates the fixing of roof cladding, insulation, roof mounted building services and equipment at low level before the complete final assembly is lifted into place.
Strand jacking technology provides significant benefits over traditional methods of construction including
- Faster construction and reduced project programme
- Safe construction greatly reducing the need for working at height
- Reduced overall construction cost
- Opportunity for superior construction quality
- Reduced requirement for on site cranage
Equipment available
ASI Heavy lift has a rapidly expanding portfolio of operations and currently owns and operates some of the most modern heavy lifting equipment. This equipment includes hydraulic Jacks, hydraulic pumps (power packs) and associated automatic control systems and monitoring devices. This modern “state of the art” equipment is operated by our fully trained and experienced specialist staff and includes:-
- 11 no’s of strand jacks with a lifting/lowering capacity of 372kn each (approximately 372t each) with a stroke length of 500mm. Combined capacity of 4,100 tonnes when working synchronously.
- 6 no’s of electric over hydraulic power packs.
- Master control unit for synchronized lifting, lowering and launching. Pre set values (tonnages) for each lifting point may vary depending on the structure to be lifted, lowered or launched. Digital display and warning systems on the master control unit ensure each strand jack load and relevant location within the operation is not exceed.
- Cycle time for each stroke of the strand jacks is 150 seconds (lifting, lowering and launching at 12 meters per hour).
This range of equipment will soon be extended with the addition of 20 strand jacks and 10 power packs of similar specification. The control and monitoring systems will also be upgraded to incorporate the latest technological developments and systems to support the additional jacks and hydraulic pumping equipment. ASI Heavy Lift is making this investment to ensure that its customers receive the highest level of service utilizing the most up to date equipment and technology.
